Ok couples, we totally get it. It’s a bit stressful to be in quarantine right now and what’s even more stressful is not knowing what the outcome may be in the next few weeks. We advise you to keep calm, and #marryon. The below activities are wedding planning tasks you can do from the comfort of your own home and still make progress on your wedding – whenever that may be!
1) DO YOUR DESSERT TASTING
Many desserts shops are still operating and offering curbside ‘to go’ orders. Ask if they offer ‘tastings’ to go!
2) PICK YOUR WEDDING INVITES
Most of them will send you complimentary samples of your chosen design:
www.basicinvite.com | 30% off and free shipping | CODE: PEACHYKEEN
www.minted.com | 35% off save the dates; 25% off everything else | CODE: WEDPLPEACHYKEEN
OR even better, reach out to one of our favorite local designers Crave Design, Letters & Dust, Everglow Handmade.
3) WORK ON YOUR WEDDING WEBSITE
Many sites that you might order your invites from also have a matching website option
4) BUST A MOVE IN YOUR FAMILY ROOM
Move back the furniture and lookup some new dance moves to pull out for your first dance. Our friends at The Wedding Choreographer is giving dance lessons online right now!
5) CHECK YOUR LIST, TWICE
Double check your guest list and start gathering addresses. Get BOTH mailing and email addresses in case you need to quickly notify guests of any changes that may incur with your celebration.
6) WORK ON YOUR PLAYLIST
Google – or reach out to Peachy Keen Coordination – to lookup some song ideas for your special moments on wedding day. These may include:
Processional (when your family and/or groom and/or wedding party walks out)
Wedding Party
Bride
Recessional (when you walk back up the aisle as newlyweds)
Grand Entrance
Cake Cutting
First Dance
Father + Daughter Dance
Mother + Son Dance
Anniversary Dance
Bouquet Toss
Garter Toss
Last Song You Dance to on Wedding Day
Sendoff Song
7) SPREAD SOME LOVE
And perhaps our favorite…if you’re looking for ways to love your selected vendors so far, consider leaving them reviews, liking their social media, reposting their work. This is tricky times for everyone and everyone is needing some love right now.
Keep going, let us know how we can support you as you wedding plan!
Cheers!
